Bonjour,
Je suis en train de déployer la version 1.7 Entreprise dans mon établissement.
J'ai configuré le serveur pour qu'il s'occupe des mises à jours et cela fonctionne tout à fait correctement. Par contre cela semble désactiver complètement Windows Update sur les postes. Est ce le comportement normal ? Du coup les updates des drivers tiers, l'utilisation de Microsoft Store, Intune et quelques autres bricoles ne fonctionnent plus ... Et pas de mises à jours non plus pendant les vacances ... Est-ce une mauvaise configuration/compréhension de ma part ?

C'est le fonctionnement normal. Le but initial était d'être sûr que process service wuauserv ne fait rien tant qu'on ne lui demande pas. Ce service est redémarré à la demande lors des scans de mises à jour, des installations, ou de l'installation dans des paquets Wapt de packages msu
Dans un paquet wapt, on peut s'assurer que wuauserv est démarré avec le helper *EnsureWUAUServRunning*
with *EnsureWUAUServRunning*(): run('...')
Pour les mises à jour pendant vacances... il suffit d'autoriser toutes les mises à jour par défaut dans la configuration de l'agent wapt. ( [waptwua] default_allow=true )
Pour les pilotes, le filtre de wapt par défaut est "Type='Software' or Type='Driver'" donc devrait inclure les drivers.. ?
Pour le store MS, je n'avait pas remarqué qu'il était affecté.... mais ça peut être vu comme une feature :-!
Si la désactivation complète du service wuauserv est problématique, il faudrait qu'on ajoute un paramètre pour le rendre optionnel (hint: dans code source : wapt\waptenterprise\waptwua\client.py : ligne 483 : commenter self.disable_ms_windows_update_service() )

J'ai enfin eu le temps de me pencher plus sérieusement sur ce problème. Effectivement cela venait d'un mauvais paramétrage de l'agent.
J'en profite, y a-t-il un moyen de configurer les clients en fonction de l'utilisation. En clair j'ai des poste élève sur lesquels j'aimerais garder la main sur les updates et des postes administration/professeur ou j'aimerais permettre la mise à jour extérieur. C'est possible ?

C'est possible Pour l'instant, il ya deux manières de faire. - Configurer initialement l'agent par les paramètres de l'installeur, donc compiler plusieurs installeurs avec des paramètres différents (et donc avoir des GPO de déploiement de l'agent différentes suivant le cas) - ou/et agir à postériori par un paquet (de manière programmée) pour modifier les paramètres wapt-get-ini Cela fontionne mais n'est pas très lisible / facile (il faut écrire dans le fichier ini avec des instructions *ini_writestring*(WAPT.config_filename,'cle','valeur') )
Nous avons dans la roadmap quelque chose qui facilitera ça. Nous allons donc créer la notion de "paquet configuration machine", en gros transférer la partie paramétrage de l'agent (url, fréquences, certificats, config waptwua, etc...) dans un paquet de type spécifique avec un dialogue GUI pour le paramétrer On pourra donc avoir plusieurs profils d'agent et affecter ces profils (types de configuration) aux clients par les méthodes classiques (groupe, paquets OU, etc...).
