J'ai installé sur mon poste en Seven 64bits WaptServer . J'ai configuré mon fichier hosts pour déclarer srwapt.mondomaine.lan et wapt.mondomaine.lan
L'installation se passe bien ainsi que la post-configuration.
Par contre lorsque je veux lancer la console , j'ai le message suivant Socket #Error 11004 ?
Auriez vous une idée ?

Bonjour Ayant eu le même problème : pouvez vous vérifier via nslookup que les entrées DNS pointent bien vers votre serveur WAPT ? Perso c'était au sein d'un AD (donc entrée DNS dans le DNS AD et non via un fichier host) Nslookup srwapt.mondomaine.lan Nslookup wapt.mondomaine.lan Nslookup srwapt Nslookup wapt Nslookup LENOMDUSERVEURWAPT. mondomaine.lan Nslookup LENOMDUSERVEURWAPT

Cela tourne effectivement autour du DNS. En mettant l'IP comme suggéré par Denis cardon, cela a fonctionné.
Je vais essayer avec une entrée dans le DNS de mon AD

la console WAPT utilise un resolver DNS pour chercher le serveur WAPT. Il faut donc que l'ip puisse réellement être résolu par une requête DNS, et la modification du fichier hosts ne suffit pas.
Vous pouvez utiliser le nom DNS de votre machine de test au lieu du nom wapt si votre machine est bien enregistrée dans le DNS.
Sinon, si il n'y a pas d'entrées DNS, le plus simple est d'utiliser directement l'ip lors de la postconf. Il faut choisir d'entrer manuellement l'adresse ip dans le premier écran, et mettre l'adresse ip du poste. L'agent wapt de déploiement sera automatiquement configuré avec cette adresse ip.
Vous pouvez relancer la postconf avec l'exe c:\wapt\waptserverpostconf.exe. Il faut faire attention à le lancer en tant qu'administrateur si vous être sur un win7/2008R2 avec UAC activé, sinon le process n'aura pas les security token nécessaire pour faire les modifications des fichiers de configuration du serveur (avec l'uac, l'admin n'est plus vraiment admin, mais plutôt sudoer).
Pour la suite, dans des déploiements Wapt important, l'utilisation des DNS est intéressante pour avoir du multi-dépôt. En effet, si l'on utilise les champs SRV _wapt, il est possible de dire aux postes sur les sites distants d'utiliser un dépôt local au lieu du serveur central et ainsi économiser la bande passante sur le VPN.

Pour illustrer les soucis que l'on peut avoir avec les fichiers hosts et la résolution DNS, voici un petit exemple après avoir modifié le fichier hosts) :
NSlookup ne résoud pas : ============== c:\Program Files\Support Tools>nslookup wapt.mondomaine.lan Serveur : srvads.tranquilit.local Address: 192.168.149.11
*** srvads.tranquilit.local ne parvient pas à trouver wapt.mondomaine.lan : Non-existent domain ==============
Alors que le ping passe....
============== c:\Program Files\Support Tools>ping wapt.mondomaine.lan
Envoi d'une requête 'ping' sur wapt.mondomaine.lan [127.0.0.1] avec 32 octets de données :
Réponse de 127.0.0.1 : octets=32 temps<1ms TTL=128
Statistiques Ping pour 127.0.0.1: Paquets : envoyés = 1, reçus = 1, perdus = 0 (perte 0%), Durée approximative des boucles en millisecondes : Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Moyenne = 0ms ==============
c'est pas très cohérent, il est préférable d'éviter ce fichier là :-)

Hubert a modifier le code derrière le bouton "Tester le nom DNS" dans la postconf du waptserver. Maintenant il refusera de poursuivre la configuration si le nom a juste été rajouté au fichier hosts.
L'api windows n'était pas très intuitive sur ce coup là, la fonction DnsQuery() utilise le fichier hosts par défaut, il faut lui passer un paramètre en plus DNS_QUERY_NO_HOSTS_FILE pour qu'il ne prenne pas ce fichier en compte...
Le correctif a été poussé sur github et sera inclus dans la prochaine release.
